The first step in creating an app from scratch was to pick a topic that had a consumer need. I went with an all-in-one stop for most of your pets needs, My Pets. It includes a profile for your pet, a survey that suggests a pet for you based on your current lifestyle, food recommendations for your pet’s specific needs, training help, and an AI vet help chat.
To get consumers’ specific needs, a survey was completed by eight pet owners to see what they would use in a pet-centered app. The results consisted of food and vet help being the most asked for.
Next, the branding elements were put into place, the logo and typography being the most important. Then, the wireframe was put together.
Lastly, putting together all the wireframe elements into the design itself, going with an orange for the color palette theme. This process was all completed in Figma to create a fully interactive app, complete with demo text and profiles.
